Arburg and its longstanding trading partner in India, Unimark, will present a hybrid Allrounder 470 H injection molding machine at Plastindia
2012, which will be held in New Delhi from February 1-6.
As said, the Allrounder 470 H with a clamping force of 1,000kN and a size 290 injection unit will demonstrate a high-speed, thin-walled application. A two-cavity mold will be used on the hybrid machine to produce thin-walled ice cream tubs. Arburg reveals the focus will be on production reliability and cost efficiency. At the fair, two 100ml tubs, each weighing 4.5g, will be produced from transparent PP in a cycle time of around 3.5s.
“In the Indian market we are finding that the technical standard of products is continuously rising and that requirements in terms of product quality and efficient molded part production are becoming more demanding,” explains Helmut Heinson, Managing Director Sales at Arburg. “Our modular Allrounder injection molding machines, our extensive range of robotic systems and our unique Selogica machine control system mean that we are perfectly positioned to meet ambitious demands in terms of precision, reproducibility, productivity and energy efficiency across all sectors.”
“We have been represented on the Indian subcontinent for over 20 years through our trading partner Unimark, with whom we enjoy a highly-successful collaboration,” adds Mr Heinson. In addition to technology, Arburg offers customers support at local level, starting from sales, through presales and after-sales service, to consulting on applications engineering. Following in-depth initial training, all service technicians will attend regular courses on the latest products at its headquarters in Lossburg, Germany.
