RTP Company Completes First Phase of Expansion At Its Ladenburg, Germany Plant
LADENBURG, GERMANY — (15 October, 2012) — Global custom engineered thermoplastics compounder RTP Company has completed the first phase of an announced capacity and footprint expansion at its production and customer support facility in Ladenburg, Germany. Installation of the first of two internal batch mixers has been completed. The equipment will be used to produce a line of conductive compounds that were acquired from Clariant in March of this year. The second line will be completed in the first half of 2013 to complete the expansion project.

Additionally, capacity in Ladenburg to manufacture very long fiber (VLF) composites will double by year-end with the installation of additional pultrusion lines and related auxiliary equipment.
“RTP Company is excited to be investing in additional infrastructure to support our continued growth in Europe,” said Jean Sirois, Managing Director – Europe at RTP Company. “We are also in the process of increasing our workforce, when the expansion in Ladenburg is finished RTP Company will have added over 20 people to our European business unit.” RTP Company will also be expanding its commercial team in Europe with new sales engineers focused on key product lines, according to Sirois.
Opened in April 2011, the Ladenburg plant will nearly double in size as result of the expansion project. RTP Company has a dozen manufacturing and support sites in its global network of facilities — including another European plant in Beaune, France. These sites are positioned regionally to provide easy access to RTP Company’s technical expertise and enable quick supply of its custom engineered thermoplastic compounds.
