According to China Customs statistics, imports of injection molding machines (HS code 84771010) in July recorded a negative growth
year on year, while exports grew by only a small margin.
As statistics reveal, 1,901 units of injection molding machines were exported at US$65.53 million in July. The figures grew by 10.5% and 13.1% year on year respectively. Meanwhile, 647 units or US$79.08 million worth of machines were imported, representing a decrease of 30.6% and 7.2% respectively. Thus, a trade deficit of US$13.74 million was recorded, which was US$12.24 million more than that in June.
From January to July, China’s total exports of injection molding machines amounted to 13,970 units in volume and US$460 million in value, representing increases of 41% and 42% respectively compared with the same period in 2010. Meanwhile, 4,761 units of machines were imported at US$540 million, down by 15.9% and up by 2.3% year on year respectively. The cumulative trade deficit was US$75.68 million.
