Makrofol and Bayfol films from Bayer MaterialScience are now sold in Britain and Ireland by WhitChem of Newcastle-under-Lyme.

These polycarbonate and polycarbonate blend films are used for a wide range of applications, including automotive interiors, forgery proof and durable identity cards and mobile phone housings, as well as durable labels, overlays and other screen printed articles. They are produced by Bayer’s Functional Films business unit, part of the Coatings, Adhesives and Specialties Division which WhitChem has represented since 1973.
WhitChem expects to sell Makrofol and Bayfol mainly to screen printers, but says it will be looking at more niche markets over the coming months.
