Cincinnati Extrusion to present WPC technology at Ligna

At the forthcoming Ligna, the exhibition for woodworking and wood processing held in Hanover, Germany, from May 18 to 22, 2009, extrusion systems manufacturer Cincinnati Extrusion will be presenting its latest developments in the field of Wood-Plastic Composites.

Together with its partner companies, Beologic, Greiner Extrusion, Kompetenzzen-trum Holz and Tech-Wood, Cincinnati Extrusion will focus on viable opportunities to enter and successfully start a business in Wood Plastic Composites.

In designing its latest new extruder model for the production of Wood-Plastic Composites Cincinnati has been able to draw on its experience, with 180 Fiberex lines already installed worldwide. With the Fiberex twin vent A135-37D, the extruder specialist has recently just presented its first parallel, counter-rotating twin-screw extruder for this market, extending its range of conical machines by adding a particularly powerful parallel model.

Two active degassing units, each equipped with a vacuum pump and a double filter for in-production purification, enable an effective removal of moisture from the processing zone and thus contribute substantially to high end-product quality. Materials to be processed include ready-made blends of WPC compounds and WPC agglomerates based on PVC, PE or PP, as well as grinding stock from production, often with a relatively high moisture content.

A long service life for the extruder is ensured by the tungsten carbide bimetal coating on both screw and barrel. Like all extruders from Cincinnati Extrusion, the new Fiberex A135-37D also comes with a maintenance-free, highly efficient AC drive. Last but not least, clear, simple intuitive operation is ensured by the optional Cincinnati control system, equipped with Touch-Screen EXcXP touch and a desktop that can be configured according to individual needs.
