WASHINGTON, DC, U.S.A., April 18, 2013: NPE was the ninth-largest trade show produced in the United States during 2012 and the third-largest manufacturing show, it was announced today by SPI: The Plastics Industry Trade Association, which produces the triennial NPE. The ranking appears in the 2012 Top 250 Trade Show list published this week by Trade Show News Network (TSNN), an online resource for the trade show and event industry. According to TSNN, about 6,000 trade shows took place in the U.S. last year.
The annual Top 250 list is based on data from trade show managers and ranks shows in terms of net exhibit space, which is the portion of exhibit hall space actually occupied by exhibitors. NPE2012 had 1,933 exhibitors on 939,972 sq.ft. (87,326 sq.m).“NPE’s high rating reflects the importance of plastics to the world economy, as well as the importance of coming together to collaborate, innovate, and network,” said Gene Sanders, senior vice president of trade shows and conferences for SPI.
“With the continued improvement in key plastics markets like automotive and construction, and the return of many manufacturing operations to the U.S., we anticipate that NPE2015 will be even greater than 2012.”NPE2015 will take place Monday through Friday, March 23-27, 2015, at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida.More Information:http://www.tsnn.com.
