According to the initial statistics of the China Customs quoted by local media, in the first 10 months of the year, China exported 6.11 million tons of plastics products, an increase of 13.8% from the same period of last year.
Chinese export value of plastic products in the first 10 months of the year was reported to rise 30.6% to US$14.99 billion, compared to the same period of last year.
In the first 10 months of the year, China imported 19.52 million tons of plastics in primary form at a value of US$35.32 billion, representing a drop of 1.2% and an increase of 25.8% respectively, compared to the same period of last year.
In October alone, Chinese export volume of plastics products amounted to 585,000 tons, while the export value was US$1.52 billion. The country also exported 1.73 million tons of plastics in primary form at a value of US$3.16 billion.
