For example, at the conference, Shanghai MicroPort Medical (Group) Co., Ltd. will share “The Technology of Precision Medical Polymer Tube for Invasive Medical Device”. Precision medical tubes are widely used in invasive medical devices. The presentation will introduce the technologies in producing precision medical polymer tube, which are critical in deciding their properties.

Mr. Raymond Wong, Product Technology Manager, Medical & Consumer Products, Polycarbonate Asia Pacific, Covestro Polymer (China) co., Ltd is to give a presentation on “Covestro Makrolon Polycarbonate technical solution for medical device”. Makrolon polycarbonate (PC) is a high performance thermoplastic with an outstanding balance of properties. It is extremely robust, lightweight with glass like transparency and is impact resistant even at extremely low temperatures.

Meanwhile, Professor Dipl. Ing. Burkhard Stolz, Program Director, Master’s Program of Medical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering Management, Eastern Bavarian Institute of Technology, will speak on the topic of “Clean Room Manufacturing in Medical Technology”. He will talk about injection molding and assembly for handheld medical devices, and how to run a clean room and the effect on the product in respect of particles and germs.

Besides, Ms. Stefania Marconi, Biomedical Engineer, PhD in Experimental Surgery and Microsurgery from the University of Pavia, will discuss about “Plastic Materials in 3D Printing: Surgical Planning and Clinical Applications”. Her presentation will focus on standard plastic materials to high resolution photopolymers to biocompatible materials, the applications of 3D printing on anatomical prototyping for surgical planning, and 3D printing of biocompatible implants.

CHINAPLAS will launch its 30th edition on April 25-28, 2016 at Shanghai New International Expo Centre, PR China.
