Sweden’s biggest packaging fair will soon be opening in Gothenburg, from 23rd to 26th October. Needless to say, Sacmi will be playing a prominent role, exhibiting a fully integrated product range that covers the producer’s every need, from raw material to bottle, from preform production to closures.

Sacmi increasingly focuses on designing turnkey plants with up-to-the-minute technology able to handle every single stage of the production process and will, at this key Swedish fair (stand H08:01), be showcasing solutions developed by Sacmi Beverage, the business unit that, since 2009, brings together the vast range of skills and experience gained in the closures, filling, forming and labelling sectors.

The focal point of the various proposals will be compression technology, initially developed for the closures industry – as used on the CCM range – and later applied with success to other stages of the process, with machines capable of ensuring outstanding production performance while optimising energy consumption.

For example, the CBF (continuous compression moulding) – an innovative machine that can produce plastic containers made of all the commonly used resins – was developed by Sacmi by making use of, firstly, the experience gained in the compression field, and, secondly, the technology developed for stretch-blow moulding: a true “single technological platform” that offers a top-flight response to the most diverse business requirements.

Other Sacmi developments include the new IPS system for the injection production of PET preforms, characterised by extreme flexibility, fast size changeovers, outstanding ergonomics and excellent energy efficiency. Then there are the SBF rotary stretch-blow formers, machines at the very apex of their category that – in keeping with the logic of plant engineering integration – ensure saturation and make full use of the output potential of downstream filling lines thanks to a configuration with dual-cavity moulds. Another winning factor is Sacmi’s far-reaching sales and after-sales assistance network, which stretches across four continents and provides customers with valuable support right from the design stage.
