Rotterdam harbour cruise part of November recycling conferences
Paper & Plastics Recycling Conferences set sail with cruise in the Port of Rotterdam area.
Delegates attending the 2016 Paper Recycling Conference Europe and Plastics Recycling Conference Europe events in early November 2016 will have the opportunity to begin the events with a cruise in the waters of the Port of Rotterdam.
On the evening of Tuesday, 1 November, before sessions at the two conferences take place on 2 and 3 November, Dordrecht, Netherlands-based Peute Recycling is sponsoring a Harbour Tour Welcome Reception for delegates who RSVP that they would like to attend.
“This year we offer a very special way to kick off the conference: a tour of Rotterdam’s famous harbor,” the Recycling Today Media Group, the organiser of both events, has announced.
“All registered delegates for the conference are invited to this special tour the evening of Tuesday, 1 November. Among the busy traffic of seagoing and inland ships, this trip will be a special journey through one of the world’s largest harbours,” the announcement continues. “You can see Rotterdam’s impressive skyline with its imposing buildings glide by and then get a unique view of the harbour’s shipyards, docks and the hypermodern transshipping of thousands of containers.”
The Recycling Today Media Group also says “the tour will end with a view of the steamship Rotterdam, the former cruise flagship of shipping company Holland America Line.”
Motor coach transportation will take delegates from the Hilton Rotterdam, host hotel for the two conferences, directly to the dock where the cruise vessel is berthed. Appetizers and drinks will be served on board.
“All conference delegates are welcome to attend this free event, but we ask that you kindly RSVP when registering for the conference,”
