Leaked Apple packaging reveals REAL name of iPhone 8 days before launch

The name of Apple’s upcoming iPhone has been the subject of much debate in recent weeks, as the date of the company’s next event draws closer.

Now a new leak has added fuel to rumours that Apple’s 10th anniversary model, widely referred to as the iPhone 8 , could have a different name.
Tech website LetsGoDigital claims it was accidentally sent a box shot by a Dutch telecom provider, with the now-familiar outline of the forthcoming Apple device on the top, and the name “iPhone X” inscribed on the side.

Although LetsGoDigital doesn’t name the telco, it describes it as “the biggest provider of telecommunications and IT services in the Netherlands,” adding that this company “will certainly sell the new iPhone the minute it becomes available”.

The image was reportedly sent to LetsGoDigital via a marketing agency, for an advertorial running in the company’s Dutch edition.

While the image has not been verified, the name “Phone X seems a logical choice for Apple, as X represents the number 10 in Roman numerals, and this device will mark the 10-year anniversary of the first ever iPhone.

Evan Blass, who has a track record of leaking accurate information on Apple products, also appears to be betting on the name:
