Cleaning Product’s Packaging Uses Plastic Salvaged From The Oceans

Method creates home and personal care products that are non-toxic and environmentally sustainable. In a move to

become even more eco-friendly, Method has come up with a process to re-use ocean-salvaged plastic in its packaging.

The washed up plastics are found on the shores of the North Pacific Gyre, often referred to as the Great Pacific Garbage Patch due to the amount of marine litter. Method has partnered with Envision Plastics, one of the largest recyclers in the U.S., to develop a new recycling process that can disinfect contaminants found on the ocean-salvaged plastic and have it re-manufactured into high-quality plastic.
