CHINAPLAS: Cutting-edge exhibits shine at fairground
A lot of innovative and advanced technologies can be seen at the CHINAPLAS 2016 fairground. While showcasing technological breakthroughs, the wide range of exhibits reflects some major trends of the plastics and rubber industries.
Plastics processors have become increasingly concerned over product quality and require machine features that allow them to improve their production in terms of product quality and efficiency.
For the first time , KraussMaffei exhibits its locally produced injection molding machine known as the GX series. According to the company, it is the fastest two-platen injection molding machine in Asia and is being manufactured at its production site in Haiyan county of Zhejiang province in China.
The GX series, with its clamping force range of 4,000 to 9,000 kN and high basic speed (dry cycle time of only 2.3 seconds) caters for the growing automotive, packaging and medical sectors.
At the KraussMaffei stand, the GX 450-3000 produces loading crates for the transport of aqua food with a shot weight of 240 g in a cycle time of approximately 11 seconds, demonstrating the capability of the GX series for high-speed, thin-walled applications for logistics products.
Another highlight exhibit making its debut is the R-RPO Resin Protection Conveying System of CONAIR. The new, patent-pending conveying system virtually eliminates pellet fracturing, angel hair and equipment wear caused by high-speed vacuum conveying. This unique system results in slower flow and less resin damage without limiting throughput.
In the R-PRO system, the material speed might increase slightly over the full conveying distance, but is never remotely as fast as a typical system. The system is also suited to conveying powdered resin. It can be retrofit to existing systems.
Chinese contenders also show a great progress on the production technology at the show. Chen Hsong Sales and Marketing (Shenzhen) Co Ltd. presents the latest JETMASTER MKVI Servo Drive
, which is specially designed in response to new market challenges.
It features one-click automatic clamping force adjustment, which completes within 15 seconds. Besides, solid steel clamping platens ensure the lowest possible deformation, so that higher product dimensional stability and longer mold life are achieved.
The machine is part of the newest generation of machines: “Sixth-Generation” MKVI servo driven series. The entire range is expected to be fully launched by the end of 2016.
For die and mold, Shanghai Anry Mold Component Co., Ltd displays its new product: Hot Runner System – One Cylinder with Four Valve Nozzles. The design of one cylinder with four valve nozzles prevents pressure loss, thus can achieve four valve pins moving at the same time, ensuring the consistency of product filling.
