Amut unveils new generation VPK C84 thermoforming machine
Amut Comi, the thermoforming division of Italy-based Amut Group, has unveiled the new generation VPK C84 machine series, offering options for offline or inline configuration as well as three or four stations models.
As introduced, the VPK C84 machine is suitable to handle different materials, such as polyethylene terephthalate (PET), polypropylene (PP), polystyrene (PS), polylactic acid (PLA), polyvinyl chloride (PVC), producing items like trays, lids, berry boxes, clamshells, nursery trays and plates.
Production speed is up to 35 cycles/min and the dry cycles are counted at 55 per min. The mold has an area of 840x650mm.
The four-column forming station has a clamping force of 24,000kg (a top mold servo plugs assist is included) which can be extended to 60,000kg in case of In-mold cutting.
The punching station clamping force reaches 24,000kg (four station model) and for the four-column cutting station the clamping force is 60,000kg.
The VPK C84 series is equipped with a servo-driven up-stacker (robot stacking on request) and a precise individual heating element control for top and bottom ovens with open zone configuration. The oven can be 1,950mm long (three steps) or 3,250mm (five steps in case of PP).
Amut added that this series of machines is completely servo driven and equipped with a new software with a full diagnostic and easy learning/handling operator interface.
